GCMS Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)
The GCMS PTO is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization. All parents and guardians, students and faculty enrolled or employed at the Gates Chili Middle School are automatically members of the organization at no cost.
The purpose of the Gates Chili Middle School PTO is to:
- Enhance and support the educational experience of students at Gates Chili Middle School
- Develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parental involvement
- Promote family oriented and school sponsored activities through volunteer and financial support.

The GCMS PTO supports the following activities:
- Fundraisers for GCMS PTO students to raise money for their 8th grade trip
- Multiple Faculty and Staff Appreciation days
- Volunteer Support (Middle School Social concession sales)
- Apparel sale
- Scholarship opportunities
- Specialty events (Minecraft, D&D, etc.)
- Student reward programs
- Helps support vulnerable students (food donations for social workers to use)
Monthly Meetings 2026-27
GCMS PTO holds meetings to discuss various initiatives, receive updates from the school, vote on specific items and more. Meetings are held in the Gates Chili Middle School library and start at 5 p.m. and typically end by 6 p.m.
